OC Condors Show Resilience in Home Win Over Allan Hancock
Oxnard, Calif. — January 31, 2026 — The Oxnard College Condors delivered a resilient and determined performance Saturday afternoon, defeating Allan Hancock College 49–45 in the Condors Nest. The win marked an important step forward for the Condors, who welcomed back two starters from injury and leaned on grit, defense, and timely execution down the stretch.

The win marked an important step forward for the Condors, who welcomed back two starters from injury and leaned on grit, defense, and timely execution down the stretch.
After a slow offensive start, Oxnard stayed within striking distance through the first half, trailing just 20–17 at the break. The Condors responded coming out of halftime, tightening defensively and finding better rhythm on offense to take a 32–33 deficit into the fourth quarter.
The final period belonged to Oxnard.
Led by a strong inside presence and clutch scoring, the Condors outscored Allan Hancock 17–12 in the fourth quarter to secure the victory. Oxnard's defensive pressure forced key turnovers late, while the team's rebounding effort limited second-chance opportunities and controlled the tempo in the closing minutes.
Rosalin Moreno led all scorers with 21 points, shooting efficiently from the field and converting timely free throws late in the game. America Chavez had 14 rebounds and nine points, anchoring the Condors on the glass. Sofia Mora added nine points and seven rebounds, while the return of two starters provided much-needed stability, leadership, and depth on both ends of the floor.
The Condors finished the game with a rebounding advantage (32–32 overall, 28 defensive boards) and shot nearly 40 percent from the field, holding Allan Hancock to 24.6 percent shooting.
With the win, Oxnard College improves to 9–13 overall and continues conference play with renewed momentum. Allan Hancock College falls to 4–19 on the season.
Oxnard will look to build on Saturday's performance as conference action continues in the coming weeks.
