In a back-and-forth contest early, the Condors broke the game open with a dominant middle innings surge, scoring six runs across the fifth and sixth frames to pull away for good.
Oxnard wasted no time getting on the board in the first inning, as Jiselle Garcia and Alexah Espinoza each drove in runs to give the Condors a 2–0 lead. Santa Barbara responded quickly, tying the game in the bottom half and eventually taking a 4–3 lead after two innings.
The turning point came in the third inning when Oxnard regained momentum. Isabela Nava sparked the rally with an RBI single, followed by a two-run double from Marylou Flores to give the Condors a 6–4 advantage.
Santa Barbara battled back to tie the game at 6–6 after four innings, but Oxnard's offense proved too much down the stretch.
The Condors seized control in the fifth inning, capitalizing on timely hitting and defensive miscues. Flores delivered an RBI bunt single, and Garcia added another RBI as Oxnard plated three runs to take a 9–6 lead. The momentum carried into the sixth, where Garcia came through again with a clutch two-run single to extend the lead to 11–6.
Oxnard added an insurance run in the seventh on Nava's fifth hit of the day, capping off a standout performance.
Nava led the charge offensively, going an impressive 5-for-6 with four runs scored, two RBIs, and two stolen bases. Flores reached base five times, finishing 2-for-3 with three runs scored, three RBIs, and three walks. Garcia delivered a game-high five RBIs on a 3-for-4 performance, while Espinoza added two hits and an RBI.
In the circle, Amber Cervantez went the distance, tossing a complete game while striking out six. Despite allowing 13 hits, she limited Santa Barbara to six runs and kept the Vaqueros off the board over the final three innings.
Oxnard also showcased aggressive baserunning, swiping multiple bases and applying constant pressure throughout the game.
With the win, the Condors demonstrated their offensive depth and resilience, responding to every Santa Barbara push before ultimately pulling away late.
