Woodland Hills, CA – October 24, 2025 — The Oxnard College Men's Soccer team extended their unbeaten streak in conference play, defeating LA Pierce 3–2 on the road Friday night at Shepard Stadium. Sophomore forward Javier Sanchez delivered a stellar performance, scoring twice and assisting on the opening goal to earn Man of the Match honors.
The Condors wasted no time asserting control early. In the 12th minute, Sanchez found teammate Emmanuel Yarjah inside the box, who converted calmly for the 1–0 lead. Just over a minute later, Sanchez doubled the advantage himself, finishing a setup from David Posadas to make it 2–0 before the 15-minute mark.
Oxnard continued to dominate possession and chances, and in the 62nd minute, Sanchez struck again — this time off a crisp assist from Michael Sauceda — extending the Condors' lead to 3–0.
Despite the commanding start, LA Pierce rallied late with goals from Benjamin Miranda (78') and Jesse Castillo (84'), closing the gap to one. However, the Condors held firm through a physical final stretch that saw the Brahmas receive four yellow cards and a red.
Goalkeeper Jesus Gonzalez recorded two key saves in the victory, while the Oxnard back line — led by Emiliano Rivera and Yarjah — contained the Pierce attack for most of the night.
With the win, Oxnard improves to 9–2–1 overall and remains undefeated in conference play (4–0–0), maintaining their spot atop the standings.
The Condors return home next week for another conference matchup as they continue their pursuit of a postseason berth.
