OC Basketball Joins Fight against Cancer
OC Basketball raises nearly $1500
For more than nearly 30 years, the American Cancer Society and National Association of Basketball Coaches have collaborated to unite basketball coaches and fans through the Coaches vs Cancer program to defeat a common enemy- cancer. The Oxnard College men's and women's basketball teams hosted their annual Coaches vs. Cancer game on January 21st, during their doubleheader against the visiting L.A Pierce Brahma's.
Friends and Family were encouraged to donate and participate in the Wall of Hope which was displayed to honor those who have battled cancer.
Kudos to our Women's Basketball team for raising nearly $1,500!! All funds raised through the Coaches vs. Cancer campaign will benefit the American Cancer Society's screening initiatives that encourage people to schedule regular cancer screening tests.
