Condors Stay Close; Fall 2-1

The Condor Women's Soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Victor Valley College on Friday.

The loss kept the Lady Condors out of the win column, but not without a fight.  Playing with only 11 healthy players, and a first-time goalie in net, OC held the Rams to only one goal in the first half.

Casandra Martinez scored her second goal on the season, with a beautiful header to the top-left corner of the goal to equalize the game at 1-1. 

Brenda Gonzalez did her best to keep the Condors tied, but Victor Valley was able to slide a shot past her in the second half to win the game.

Oxnard will host Compton College at 4:00 in The Nest on Tuesday afternoon.
